It's Thanksgiving - and the doorbell rings!
A couple from Vancouver BC is at your door with their Realtor!
They want to see your home while they are visiting family in the neighborhood.
This is a dream come true - any Buyer who is looking at houses instead of shopping or holiday parties during this special time of year is a serious Buyer.
But - are you serious?
Do you have a plan for the Buyer to see your home - even with guests, children, pets, and holiday decorations?
Have you discussed how to celebrate the holidays in your home while the house is on the market?
Here are some tips:
Tip No. 1. many Buyers view a home for the potential it will offer their family. It is an advantage to have a Christmas tree displayed so the Buyer can envision where they will hang their tree.
Tip No. 2. Keep decorations to a minimum. Now is the time to pack away the macaroni ornaments your children made 15 years ago. The Buyer is interested in the placement of the tree - not the ornaments.
Tip No. 3. Wrap your gifts in holiday gift bags - it's faster and easier to clean up than traditional wrapping paper.
Tip No. 4. Gifts displayed under a tree are very attractive for your guests to see and a distraction. Keep them in their gift bags.
